Key filing season dates

There are several important dates taxpayers should keep in mind for this year's filing season:

• January 23, 2023. IRS E-File Opens

 

• First week of March. Tax refunds begin reaching those claiming EITC and ACTC (PATH Act returns) for those who file electronically with direct deposit and there are no issues with their tax returns.
   

• April 18. Deadline for filing 2023 tax returns.
   

• Extension Due Date October 15th, 2023

Important Business Dates

• For most small businesses, including sole proprietorships, household employers, and C corporations, business taxes for the 2023 tax year are likely due April 18, 2023.

 

• For S corporations and partnerships, taxes are due March 15, 2023.
